Impact of COVID-19 on Black United Methodist Pastors, leaders and congregations

This survey, created by Gammon Theological Seminary in partnership with five United Methodists organizations, aimed to hear voices and perspectives of Black pastors and leaders who have led and served amidst the COVID-19 global health pandemic. The 20-question survey was distributed in June of 2021 and focused on the pandemic’s impact upon the pastors’ and leaders’ wellbeing, church finances, average worship attendance, launching virtual worship and how the church remained in mission and ministry during and post quarantine.  Results showed that the pandemic propelled Black UMC congregations into digital ministries.
